Web3 doesn’t have to be cold code and crypto jargon. In Buenos Aires, we gave Algorand a real-world personality—with spaces designed for both the curious and the committed.
On one side, AlgoDay delivered smart, focused content for developers—technical talks, real use cases, and builder energy. On the other, Algoland turned blockchain into a bright, bold, interactive world that you could walk through, play with, and take home on a tote bag (plus possible cool prizes).
We made it visual, we made it local, and we made sure it actually worked. Yes, people downloaded the wallet. And yes, they came back the next day for more.
THE BRIEF
Make Algorand impossible to ignore during Devconnect Buenos Aires.
We were asked to concept and produce two experiences:
Algoday – A dev-focused mini-conference with workshops, panels, and networking.
Algoland – A public-facing installation that brings Algorand’s universe to life through storytelling, design, and interactivity.
THE CHALLENGE
It wasn’t just about setting up two events. It was about keeping them from stepping on each other’s toes.
We needed to:
• Design a space that split smoothly between technical and playful
• Create a shared identity without blurring the message
• Keep the energy up for multiple days
• And land real engagement
Add in two languages, a moving target of stakeholders, and the usual Buenos Aires last-minute magic—and we had a puzzle worth solving.
THE EXPERIENCE
We took over a flexible venue in Palermo and split it right down the middle—physically and conceptually.
Algoday
Workshops. Panels. Breakfast meetups. Happy hour to close it out. All the right ingredients for developers to get in, learn, connect, and stay.
Algoland
A full-on brand world. Characters. Digital touchpoints. Staking made simple. Illustrated merch and gamified content. A place where the Algorand ecosystem felt alive, weird (in a good way), and ready to be explored.
